well I got my new Barnett kevlar clutch put in today.

I dropped every thing i was supposed to do to try and get it in before the wife got home from work.

    84 200x

I went and had breakfast with some friends till about 9 then went and bought a gasket, new timing light, and some oil. Came home got started about 10 AM. Had a helluva time getting the three screws out of the oil filter rotor. Stripped one out so bad I had to drill it out and heat it then pound in an easy out. Got the cover off then I realized I didnt have the special socket to remove the stupid nut on the cone and clutch. I got the nut on the clutch to come off and took it in to the shop to make a tool to get the other one off. I welded this contraption up that looked like it had no choice but to work. I bent the prongs that I had to grind down so much just to get it to fit in the cone. Back to the drawing board. Guess what a 7/8" socket works awesome when you cut on it with a hacksaw and a file. Finished that little jewel just as the wife was pulling in the drive way at 1:30. I got it all out and back together in no time flat. An hour project took about 3 times longer than I had envisioned. I rode it around the yard for a few minutes. I got to say I am impressed with it. Maybe because it didnt slip like the one I took out. It is nice to hit 5th gear and snap back in to the throttle and go faster instead of just make noise. I can pull a second gear wheelie without much work now. It used to slip so bad it couldnt get a good grip.

one trike ready for trikefest. Going to try to get the 85 200x running as a backup.

All my work takes 3X what a dealer or most people would. Once I open stuff up, I don't want to open it again. If Honda made it last 25 years, I had better get 10 before I touch it again!

I have had nothing but success with Barnett; Enjoy!!
