The TRI-Z - First couple rides have blown me away!

Just finished (almost, need just a couple parts here and there yet, but it's a rider!)

With the Answer pipe and silencer, new jetting in the carb, it tears!

I'm loving that 2 stroke power!!

Just need to get the seat redone ( maybe in the winter ), and maybe clean up the plastics a bit ( sanding, polishing, etc ).

Here is what I started with!

    Gunter glieben glauchen globen

    The Good:
    1985 1/2 Tri-Z - Daily Rider - Pretty much stock ( wink )
1985 1/2 Tri-Z - Custom Black & Gold, Top mount plastic tank, custom 3D printed airbox, Banshee shock
    1985 Tri-Z - Rider restore in process

    The Bad:
    1988 TRX250R with 86 ATC 250R Motor and Swinger - Screamer!

    The Ugly:
1993-ish Banshee / 2003 Motor by VSR in Belding, MI - Duner Fun!!
2000-ish Banshee / Motor by RDZ Racing in Fowlerville, MI - Another Duner!

It was mainly a clean up. I haven't touched the engine except for swapping out the right side case and kicker and kicker spring, and plopping the new exhaust on there (the OEM was as heavy as a cinder block; I'm sure it was full of carbon) I swapped out everything that was either broken or cobbled up. And the TrailPros are still sitting in the garage crying now since they are off the bike! I'm expecting one morning to see they put themselves back on. LOL

A few members here helped me out with parts - tri-z987 ; techguy ; trizilla ; Thank you thank you guys! All great to work with!

Next winter I'll pull the engine and have it completely done.

YES, add 1more to the Yami Camp....funny how many 85.5 Z's show up restored as to the # of 86' models. Makes me wonder which is more rare? Nice trike!

This may be a dumb question, but How can you tell it is an 85 1/2 instead a 86 or 85? When I pulled the VIN on mine it just said 85. Would it tell you by running the VIN?

Differences between the 85 yellow/black and the 85.5 red/black were the colors (Someone will be sure to correct me if I'm wrong :P ) As for the 86's, they came in yellow/black and red/white, had a 6 speed and larger front forks.
