    84 kxt 250 parts list

does any one know if there are any types of exploded views or manuels for the kxt? i have a 84 kxt 250 but it's been sitting for a while and want to give it a good over haul. what are some major things to look at since its been sitting for a long while? any info would be great!i am looking into new clutch, check piston "is there a sleeve?" and clean carb.

I have the exact same problem with my clutch on the Tecate. If you get it running, it wont enguage, trust me. I havent figured it out yet, but a good way to start would be to take off the right side engine case, and the clutch will be right in front of you. I have been hearing a lot about non working tecate clutches latley.
If you havent gotten it running yet, you should be sure that it has spark before doing anything else. As everyone knows, the flywheel and stator are a common problem to go out on these kawasakis, and new from ricky stator, they will cost around $250, but are supposably really good. roll
About the sleeve, I think it is permamently pressed in, so if it has a lot of scratches, you would probly be better buying a diffrent used sleeve. I dont think you can bore them out, but I may be wrong. If it has good compression, it should be okay. It helps to give it a quick hone, which gives a little more compression.
A good website I found for diagrams was buykawasaki.com ,, they have onling diagrams that you can enlarge. I hope I was some help to you. Peace. )

    schematics

Here's a link to Kawi schematics. Click on "view parts diagrams" on the left side of the screen, then select "ATV", select year, skip over to the last block and select "Tecate"
