    Big red carb conversion

Does anyone know if its possible to fit an 84 200x carb on a 83 big red? The big red carb is shot and I got a 200x for parts including a good carb.

So I got the carb in and it runs except in low end it seems to sputter alot and the high end is fine. Anyone know what would cause this?

It all seems clean I started it with the lid off and then took the filter off and it still did it but seemed to be a little bit better i might try adjusting the air fuel mixture screw tomorrow and see how that works. I wonder if i have to change the needle position from what it is now because I am still using the same needle from the big red carb but in the 200x carb because i didn't have the 200x carb needle so I wonder if the position is different between the two.

I have an 86 200X carb on my Rodded 200S, I used the jets from the 200S to stop the rampant flooding around mid throttle with the jets from the X, along with the intake boot from the 200S it just bolted right up! Loads more low end, and it compliments my Cobra very nicely.
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.

Sooooo I finally got around to doing and my jets and it runs great now! Just had to set the idle as soon as it fired up and then I took it through the gears and it seemed to have great power and idles like a champ! Thanks to everyone who helped me out I might go and rebuild the old carb and keep it as a spare but I have no rush on that.
Now just time to slowly restore it up (Cosmetically)
