hey, i was talking to a guy about an aftermarket atc 90 exaust. he was describing it as having a tapered aluminum can and a pipe that ran under the brake pedal. any insight into what it might be?

There were so many companies that made pipes, that people just don't realize. Hooker, S&S, Kerker, and so many others. It's hard to say just what it is. Most people on here just don't know how sweet is was back then.
