on the stock muffler you can unscrew the center and then it comes out, what would happen if you rode it with out it? Will effect the performance, hurt the engine and is it louder?

on a tri-z i wouldnt mess with it.
When I bought my tri-z it had soup cans welded together for a silencer. They were fallin apart so I just pulled them off. I rode the bike for the longest time, well I didnt, but my one friend who owned it before me did, there was no serious problems other than it sounded like a raped ape.

It shouln't have any negative effect on the bike, but it will produce less power. (two strokes need a designed amount of back-pressure to run properly).
