    Hey buddy...

Good luck. I did what you are doing about 3 months ago. I posted some info on what I did to mine on the 3 wheeler forum. Just do a search for Triz and look for my posts. You should probably post on Trikeslyvania if you have questions.

IF you need any help let me know. I built mine from the bare frame as well. In fact when I bought it was completely dissassembled.

It was the best bike I ever bought and I love it. You will notice that the air box cover is really shiny....well its been painted with red paint (called flex coat) by a professional. It also has 4 coats of clear.

The fork boots get really cruddy on the stock bike...buy some on ebay. The type will be pretty long and they fit great plus the color is dead on.

You can get new rear fenders in while from Yamaha...but no front fender and no radiator shrouds. can get those painted with flex coat as well but let a professional do it who has experience painting motorcycle plastic that bends.

The tires and back wheels are from a banshee. You need only to use the banshee hubs and then everything will fit. The Tri Z spindle is the same size as the banshee and raptor.

Best of luck and keep me up to date on the progress!

    Darius

thats a damn nice z ya got there. i have an 85 yellow and black one that i plan on restoring this winter. i don't think i'll do anything to the engine cause it has been running great since i bought it but i plan on takin it to the frame and blasting and painting everything. are those dunlops on the back of yours? mine has the same gold wheels as that and tires but my tires are at about 20% tread. are the dunlops like a factory tire for the quads? ....chris

    Chris,

Those are the bashee dunlops. If you get banshee hubs you can fit the banshee and raptor wheels on the Tri z. (The spindles are the same size). It makes buying tires and sand tires alot easier.

If you decide to run the 9 inch rims like Darius1502 is talking about you can run raptor, warrior and most likely yfz 450 hubs as well since they are all 4x115. I had raptor hubs and banshee rims on my tri z.
