Picked up another 110 and it looks like the drive chain is bad. Is this something I will need to buy the part for(40530-VM6-003) or can a chain be made to fit. Appears the chain is more than I paid for the bike.

First of all, you should have started this thread in Trikesylvania. Secondly, I'm assuming that's an OEM part# you just put up there? If so, that is not the chain you want to buy. It is going to cost more than an aftermarket chain I'm sure. All you need to do is find out what size the chain is (I'm guessing 520, but we'll let somebody else chime in) and make it the right length. You will need to buy a master link if the chain you buy doesn't come with one. You can shorten the chain by removing links either with a grinder, a , and a punch, or you can used a chain breaker.

If your chain is as bad as you say it is, I'm fairly certain you will need new sprockets. Those you can get aftermarket as well. OEM is going to cost a lot more.
