    busted 200x spark advance assembly

so i finished breaking in my new top end with the oem carb and now i switch to a larger mikuni but the atc would not start. turned out to be a broken spark advance assembly. the springs and plates look fine but the collar piece that slides over nose of the cam cracked.

I believe the 83-85 200x and all the 185/200 utility parts will work. I think I have 1 or 2 of these I will never use. You can have it for shipping it you want. I can take a pic tonight.

definitely send me a pic. ill pm my cell if that makes it easier.
i looked at the 185/200 parts and they are the same but i was just wondering if the springs inside or plates were different to give the engine a different timing curve. such as what was found in distributors back when cars had them and you could play with the springs to get a more aggressive timing curve.

I think I heard the spark advance or curve is controlled by the cdi
or more accurately, the taper of the curve, powerband or some other such hype around performance cdi units.

I'm with you on the cam plate spring / advance concept tho.
