i going snow boarding every year in colorado but this year i am going to go to lake tahoe. but i have never been and do not know were the best places to stay or the best mountains to board. i am bringing my wife for her first boarding trip and i dont want to look foolish if we end up in a crappy area. every ski resort i talk to say that they are the best. so that isnt doing me any good. thanks for any help.

I stayed at Heavenly. It was great. We stayed on the California side, across from the gondola. It's in south Lake Tahoe. The town there has a vibrant night life. There are a bunch of casinos on the Nevada side. The cool thing is that if you're staying at a timeshare or hotel, you won't need to drive anywhere at night. You have the hotel call the casinos and they will send a courtesy bus.
North lake is more subtle. Keep in mind that you can drive to all the other resorts. They're all pretty good and not that far apart. Kirkwood is good, Squaw Valley was good too. I would stay in south lake for the night life and its central to most of the resorts. I drove to Squaw in less than 1 hour from Heavenly. I hope this helps.

thats pretty sweet, but i do not think they would let me bring my trike on the plane, damn!!!!!!!!!
