    tranny slipping? 84 200x

    i notice sometime i cant get it into first endless i rock it a lil bit first, then some time i will go to hit 2nd or 3rd and it will pop out or will make a grinding noise and i usually pull the clutch fast come to a stop and start all over and it will be fine.. it don't happen all the time but will happen randomly, should i leave it or look into rebuilding it?

    so i should look into having it rebuilt?, can i hurt it more if i keep riding it this way?

    if it is a bent shift for it will not fully engage gear and will eventually strip the gear(s) on one side and or wear the dogs on the gears. I would probably get in there and see whats going on

    If you have any mechanical ability the 200x isn't a big deal to take apart and get back together with reference to the service manual.
