How to retrofit a starter to a 185 or 200 with pull cord?

I am wanting to know if I can swap the starter and parts from a big red bike to my Honda 200 that has a pull cord now?

Not with the big red, but a 200m with electric start can be swapped, or you could just swap you're whole big red engine in. (the side cases you need to swap over are different on the big red)

I put a Loncin (same as Lifan) engine in my 200x. It would bolt in a 200 or 185 hardtail no problem. I paid $180 for the dirtbike I pulled the engine from.

This gave me electric start and a powerful charging system. It was fairly cheap. Something to consider. Good thread here:

Yes - it will fit. I needed to make room for the drain plug by notching the cross member under the engine.

I also trimmed the front sprocket cover to fit the X frame.

I've seen a few other conversions like this on this forum.

I got a great deal on my engine. I was watching local Craigslist for 6 months before this came up. I think you can buy the engine new for $500 or so but I'm too cheap for that.
