    big red 250 owners?

hey, im just wondering how nice a 250 is compared to a 200, every time i hit a bump on my 200 i feel like im gonna fly off, it beats the crap outa my back, performance wise though it does good, decent mudding, but im just wondering for the 250 owners out there how much they enjoy their machine cause im thinking about getting one.

The 250 is much better..the rear suspension makes a huge difference.

Both for your back and for stability on rough trails..with the right tires it can't be beat on most terrain types. The stck knobby tires are comfortable, but suck in heavy mud. The bumps won't catapult the rear end up when you hit bumps near as much as on the 200s with balloon tires on ridged rear axle.

Also alot heavier trike, so this adds to comfort but also makes it harder to pull from a mudpit single handed..

Love my 250ES... Its like riding a couch!
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

X3 - no contest. 250ES was my first suspended trike - and they are magnificent animals. Just out of curiosity what rear tires are you running on your 200ES??? Flat profile tires are rough on your body. Balloon tires on the rear of a 200ES are not too bad under most circumstances on trails.

Ive never ridden either the 200 or 250 trikes, however I remember as a kid switching from the xr200 to the xr250 it felt like almost twice the power, I was in love

i run wooley boogers practally flat, and a knobby in the front, i do think i will pick up a 250 sometime, cause riding it is just not worth the back pain afterwards. and i dont mind some extra weight, i know you can modify the front rack and add a winch.

I'm sure you know the tires like 4 pounds of pressure or less.
That's the suspension for the hardtails.
I've got 4 blown discs, which is why I have trikes outside every door, so I kinda understand.

I get on the 200 solid and I love it. Torquey little bugger and will do anything you could ever want.
but there's a beat up 250es out there that is like no other.

We had to get 2 sx's because they will fit in the truck.
Sure seems like the es is 2x bigger.

With our first rear suspension trike, 3 THREE different people rolled it immediately, myself included
being used to the non suspension.

    Haven't rolled anything since.

    Where in NY?

Think I've been spoiled...250ES was / is my first trike...have not tried any others except an ATC70 back in 1982 when I was a kid.
It really does ride pretty beautiful...couldn't imagine going to a hardtail machine, regardless of tires.

I consider myself very lucky to have found mine...next door for $1000. That will never happen again for sure.

All the best in your searches...most of the ones I've seen are usually beat.
