    Help Needed! 200x issues

Well, I've got some bad news. I was riding the 200x today and it slowly came to a stop and suddenly died. I tried to start it up and you can feel it's not right when you pull it over. It will start up for a second and then just die. I'm pretty sure I blew it up. I already took the motor out and am trying to figure out how to get the head and jug off. I've never worked on one of these before. I took the 4 bolts and 4 allen head bolts out, now what do I do? Now, most likely I will be looking for a new motor because I don't wanna fix the non-clutch motor. thanks

Did it feel like it had 'decent' compression? Was it running as 'normal' up until it died? Mine acted just like yours yesterday while riding. Actually my buddy was riding it. Pulled it back to camp. Would start up and die right away. Had fuel to the carb so I pulled the main jet and half the threads were broke off stuck in the needle holder. Luckily I travel with my jet box and had spares for both. Back up and rippin. BRUP!!!

It felt like the piston was scraping when you pulled it over and when it died, it just stopped instantly

You also need to remove timing chain from cam sprocket and there should be a long bolt going down on the side of the head. Tear it down and see what's up...depending on where you ride, the auto may not be a bad idea, I'm actually building one now...when your on some tight trails, or putting slowly with your buds, or booze cruisin' it's nice not to have to worry about the clutch...leaves a hand free for your "soda"...

You're about 2 hours away from me. I'm near Zimmerman

How do the cam journals and lobes look? Is/was there the proper amount of oil in the crankcase?

Yeah, there was enough oil in the crankcase and The cam and valves were getting oil. I think whoever bored it out didn't bore it enough and when the piston heated, it expanded and scored the crap out of it. I think im gonna find another motor for it because if I fix this one, its gonna be about $175.....

It's worth it to just fix up the engine. You don't know if the next engine you buy is going to crap out on you in 10 hours, or less

I would, but I can find a whole motor for just about the same price and then have that motor for spare parts....
