great info! your "moderate braking" was the first thing that went thru my mind when I first saw the tread pattern of the Kenda Max, would have been better if one outer row of knobs were twisted 15 or 25 degrees.
Thanks for all your advise!! I think I'm going with the Kendra front max but what I've been reading is that some of these front tires only have a 1 ply rating some with 2 ply rating, 1 with a 4 ply rating Why? Don't you want something like a 4-8 ply rating? It would suck to be doing 45 MPH, hit a rock and crash, burn and die because of a 1 ply rated front tire. The Kendra front max tires on eBay don't list how many ply they are. Might as well just have a inner tube for a front tire. Before I buy a tire I'm going to make sure it has as many ply's as I can get!
Anyways, I would like your feed back on this subject and for you to check out your front tires and see what the ply rating is. Thanks, Chris

Why don't you click on the links in that thread I posted? The ply rating is listed for each tire. As far as your reasoning on ply ratings, more isn't always better. The more ply a tire has the heavier it is and the rougher riding it is. More ply means greater puncture resistance and less flex. Usually it's best to run the least amount of ply you can get away with for your terrain. It all comes down to handling.
