    Tapperline 350x chain covers

I didn't think that I would be making anymore product for the 350x untill a fellow board member asked if I could make a 350x chain cover. I finally got all the samples back and buffed them up to see what one I wanted to use. I had one cut in 10ga stainless steel, which I think is a bit heavy. I had another one cut in 10ga aluminum, I though it came out a bit to light. The last one I had cut I used 3/16" aluminum, which I think is the winner. A few board members saw the stainless steel one and thought it looked good. There is a fair bit of clean up on them, but I think they look pretty good. If your interested in one, let me know. I'm trying to get them finished before the Muddogs ride, but I can't make any promises.

How much do you think you'd take for the perfect aluminum one or the staneles?

I'm going to keep my proto types for now, but the 3/16" aluminum will be available for sale for $25. Even though they are smaller than the fender braces, they cost more to make. I'm trying to keep cost down so everyone can afford one it they want one. I'm also using 6061 grade, which cost a bit more as well. Since they are not oem, the covers are solid. They don't have the edge on the outside that the oem's have, so the bolts on the alternator case sets the chain cover out a bit. Using the case saver takes up the space and all is good. If you don't have a case saver, you might have to use a spacer on the mounting bolts to keep it flat. If you need a case saver, I know a guy that has them for sale as well, lol. I thought about trying to mill out the backs of the covers, but again that would increase the price of the covers, which I don't want to do.

Im not sure. The one I have could be one of a kind. It was made for Chris200x. He had it on his black and red 350x. He sold the trike to Trizilla. I bought the sprocket guard off of him. Its the only one I have seen like it. I will post up a pic when I get on my laptop tomorrow.

Hi, yes I remember that one, it has the 350x cut into it. It doesn't have any slots cut into it, if my memory is correct. That is the only one that I've seen before as well.
