I rolled my trike 2 hours after i bought it

Hey guys im in wainwright alberta so if your local i want to hear from you.
But yeah i bought a ATC 200e Saturday and took it out to the quarry to immediately conquer "the wall" and i made it half way up ish at best before the handlebars were facing the wrong direction and it landed tits up with a whole bunch of minor damage, bent handle bars, broken brake handles, busted lamp, bent racks etc but i didnt stop there. I then flooded it in a swamp and jumped it entirely accidentally which tossed me off like a rag doll. So im already several hundred down after the purchase price.

Im in love with her and am waiting for the muses to give her a name.

Just a suggestion, take the time to learn to ride her, the things you listed are a few of the reasons why we can't go down to the dealer and buy new ones...

Welcome to the group, I never want to start a new member with an azz tearing!!

But, grab a brain and learn to ride before being a hotdog..you are gonna make yourself another statistic that got trikes banned in the 1st place.

We try to promote safe riding practices here..

If you are expecting a whole bunch of 'ata boys' from this group you are mistaken!!

Enjoy the sport, but be safe!!

im usually quiet on the forums but i have to post on this ,,, first off welcome to 3WW this is a place to promote safe riding and the respect of trikes not some place for newbie riders thinking there badasses and going to conquer walls steep hills ramps 2 hours after they get on a trike... you wont find any pity here from people to most of us you will get the opposite of that.. only thing we have pity for is the trike that was placed in your hands... good running trikes and parts for trikes are hard to find that dont cost you a arm and a leg if you cant respect it it definately wont respect you! trikes are not some little toy you can just go and pick up at the store.. any mature rider will tell you that you need to take the time to get to know your trike and its capabilities and its limitations before attempting climbing or jumping or any kind of stunt.. you dont go just buy the thing and think your a professional rider.. it takes time and and patients to become even a good rider .. maybe you should consider selling your trike to someone who is going to respect it like it deserves.... but hey thats just my 2 cents im just glad there are more responsible riders here than that ones who respect there trikes...

yeah... i should have just said hi but as ben has pointed out im a kid with a story to tell.
Have you guys never rolled your trikes? ever?
It was a 12 foot hill that is nothing for my quad, a 2001 polaris 500 if your wondering so i figured it would be possible on the three wheeler, i was wrong and i immediately spent several hundred dollars fixing my mistake. Not only fixing my mistake but improving on the honda that i purchased by getting parts it was missing, neat things like the front fender and the entire rear plastic and the air filter cover. and since i had the day off today i took the atc to pieces for a desperately needed greasing.
The front left shock was packed full of sand as there were no boots prior to my purchase and thanks to a semi local honda dealer im getting the seat recovered.
I will admit i have zero experience on a three wheeled off roader, i bought one a few years back that was in far worse shape then the one i just purchased and it was stolen the same week before i could even get it running.
Unless i get banned for the idiot hello post i did im not planning on leaving, information is hard to come by and you established guys would be my only route to find out about the atc. Hell i found the site by looking online for a brochure for my 200e after i found very little through other means.
I apologize for offending anyone that was not my intent and if i had gone through the forums a bit more before posting i would likely have found that my post wouldn't have been well received.

In my defense it was flooded because it couldn't handle the water the quads in front and behind me at the time could as i foolishly assumed it had an air filter cover and the jump was totally accidental i was seated cresting a small hill doing about 15 and the roots running across the trail sent me flying off not the atc flying through the air, bear in mind i hand bent handle bars and was just looking to get it home with the group.
I am a safe rider the vast majority of the time, ive never once rolled a quad and ive been riding for about 20 years.
The reason i posted on this board in the first place was to find people hopefully in my area that love three wheelers, ive been dreaming of getting one since i was old enough to go to school and they were the coolest thing on the planet but they are either insanely overpriced in my area or farm relics like the one i currently have which again is in far better condition due to my ownership then it has suffered from it.
I made one god damned mistake out of my long pent up excitement.

Rolled my trikes? yes I have, flipped, rolled, looped, endoed, you name it but its been over a period of close to 30 years.... and that includes racing as a kid and through adulthood... will I crash again? of course, but then again I don't claim to be perfect but I do have a bit more than two hours experience on a trike...

Ive been riding for 6 years I had my crash last week I was going trough a trail with a bunch of guys from this site and when I came around the corner I hit this D*mn stump and threw me down a hill crashing into trees so next time I'm there I'm bringing an axe and I'm Chopin the thing flush to the ground and I wasn't the only person to hit it but everybody else on atvs have independent suspension So it's just a fly on the windshield for them

well with 20 years exp in riding you should have known 2 wheels are different than 3 and 3 are different than 4 and that just because one machine can do it dont mean another can lol for instants just because i have jumped dirtbikes doesnt mean im going to go and try to jump a trike over a 60 foot pond lol all of them have there own limits that you can push them and all of them handle differently i also have to say with the way you did the introduction of yourself thats why you got all this negative feedback lol and as ben up there said alot of people just come in to get a quick answer then poof and im glad to hear that you have learned your lesson in doing such a stupid thing lol there are alot of people on these forums young and old who know trikes inside and out and can help with any problem anyone has with trikes no matter what year or model so for information on trikes quads or whatever a person may ride these forums here i would have to say have the most to offer people but when you come in and have a intro like yours with as many trike lovers that are here you better believe your going to get everyones opinion fast lol welcome to the boards and hope you enjoy your stay....
