    3Wheeler abbreviations

    ok i've been wondering this for a little while. what do all these abbreviations stand for?
    Honda's
    R= Race (obviously)
    X= Cross Country
    M= Manual Shift (that's what i've read somewhere on here for the 125M's)
    ES= Electric / Suspension?
    SX= Sport Cross Country or Shaft Cross Country?

    Yamaha's
    YTM= Yamaha Tri-Moto?
    ERN= ?

    etc...etc...
    would like to see what the other models for brands stand for also.

    Not factory.. The bore or stroke was changed to get to 200cc..

    The Yamaha ERN is E for electric start, R for reverse, and N is the year, 1985 specifically, some one has a thread on here about the model abbreviations and how they break down,

    The S in 200s is suspension since it went from ATC200 to ATC200S with front suspension.

    ^^^Not^^^ The 185S did not have suspension the first two years of production plus the 1983 ATC200 had front suspension. I always assumed S stood for small since there was an ATC200, the the 200S that was smaller. Same for the ATC185 then the smaller ATC185S.
