    Bike to trike conversion??

I've been thinking about building a trike from a modern 4 stroke mx bike, well i got offered an 07' kawasaki kxf 250 last night with motor problems..... but its pretty cheap
but to fund the project i'll probably have to sell my 84' tecate?!?!

what do people think of bike trike conversions??
If it ain't sideways......what's the point!!

Sell the bike, keep the Tecate.

Bikes are a dine a dozen, and chances are, you'll eventually come across another one you will want and can afford. Trikes however are not being made anymore.

I would say keep the Tecate as well. Now if it were a 450 that ran it would be a decent trade. I do not see you gaining a whole lot by building a 250 conversion. Just seems like you will spend a bunch of money and time to maybe build a slightly more modern trike without much noticeable differences. Just my $.02.
Keep on Triking!!!! "I am the NIGHT RIDER!!!"

Theres only half a dozen 'known' Tecates in Britain, im sure theres one or two more tucked away here an there, but SERIOUSLY?? keep the Tecate...

on the other hand I know someone that'll pull your arm off for a Red one...

Can you register a converted dirt bike in Wisconsin? I was wondering that if I did it.

Bike to trike conversions are not the way to go. The frame will cause endless problems. A bike frame is much taller than an ATV/ATC frame and you will never get the geometry right.

I am a Kawasaki guy to the core . An 07 250F isnt worth two pinches of coon . I'd be proud to die on a Tecate . I'd be embarrassed to to own a 07 250 F trike conversion . Just my thoughts .

If you want to sell the Tecate - I'm in Dorset!! Don't let it leave the UK.

Have to agree though that you should keep it.

Plus the bikes are pretty narrow, you'd be finding it interesting to ride on a plank compared to a log.

Ok, Ok, i might buy the kxf 250 anyway just to make a few bucks, but i would consider doing a deal with my road registered red 84' tecate for a nice 86' or 87' tecate3!
