Will that chain really work at that angle? How long will those rollers last? I was going to do something like this on my 200x once, but I didnt like the way the chain looked when the rear sprocket was so low. Does it work?

I havent had any problems yet, but I havent pushed it very hard either. I was thinking i might need a lower chain tensioner on a spring or some type, because the chain comes pretty loose when the shock compress due the extreme angle. I built the roller bracket heavy duty to withstand all the force of the chain pulling on it and also picked up the roller off of ebay. Its a dual bearing roller, and its still looks nearly new.
Only time will tell if it will hold up. I plan on ridding it quite a bit before stripping it down and painting it, just to make sure everything works like it should. I hate to have rework the frame after its been powdercoated.

you need forks from a early 80s 125 there normaly way longer and would hold up way better than welding an exention on to your old ones

Its been a while since I posted last... I was having problems with the engine it was low on compression, I since have swapped out the top end with a 200x. It runs good now good power and gearing isnt to bad, I have the 11 front and 44 rear, I have a 10 tooth front which I will try soon. The chain guide is holding up well, but at time does make some noise on the bottom side. I need to fab or find a spring tensioned chain guide for the bottom. I just bought some 4" wheel spacers for the rear I'm going to try out.

I'm going to take it out to the farm and test its capability in deep water, before stripping it all down to powdercoat. Heres the most recent pics

I'm trying out a 250ex muffler to quiet it down vs the cobra

You need to snorkel this thing, gear it way LOW, like tractor pulling low, and also snorkel the exhaust.

Also, instead of the typical chain roller, you need to get a sprocket with a bearing in the center to make a true idler sprocket.

I would totally mudd that thing, get some rubber mud flap extenders for the fenders too! YAY!

I dunno, I think it's neat, not very useful but for a purpose it's neat. Needs some bugs worked out.

It may be a fun mud machine but it is well over raked and won't have and straight line or cornering abilities.

Who cares, you can always enjoy it now and change it in the future if desired.......

I took it out to farm today, and it actualy goes pretty good. Handles better than I thought and rides smooth. Its geared down and tops out at 45 max maybe guessing. Trust me if you seen this and had the chance, you would want to ride it...

I took it out in the lake and the rear end floats easily and becomes unstable. I flipped it over once in about 3.5" of water.
I have videos and will try to post later on, I think a snorkel would be cool but it get really hard to balance and the water isnt even to the tank yet, so maybe no snorkel is needed.

I'm still not sure why some people think it over raked??? with the 350x front end stock its under raked, then add the extensions it puts the front tire about right. It's definatily not over raked.

This build is no different than full out drag bikes thats only purpose is drag racing. Mine is for creaking and light trail ridding, its not going to be good at much else, I have 350x and 250r for the more aggressive stuff. I had parts laying around and I decided to go a different direction with this. Its fun to ride and thats what its for. Maybe I need dual on the rear??

You think you have a problem now with the rear floating, if you put duals on it, it will float in a puddle!
