my 200x Lifted MONSTER in the works

I got my 350x shock back from dirtworks today so I decided to throw together the parts I had to see what I have. Shock works nice I had it shorten about a inch. Of course its a bit soft, because the 350x shock has a softer spring than a 200x and the longer swingarm. I dont have any turns yet on the preload adjuster but if that isnt enough we plan on finding a heavier spring. Im using the stock 200 linkage.

In these pictures I have 350x trees but using 84 250r forks. Im planning on using my 350x forks because they are about .5 inch longer. I dont have a 350x wheel yet, so these will work until i find a wheel. I also have a 25in tall matching swamplite tire on a black rim, but its at my friends house, so Im threw on my 250r tire. This tire is a 24in. I added some blocks and then a piece of wood to figure out how much more lift I want to add to the front. 3.5-4.5 in more should do the trick. I figure a rough increase of a inch just by adding my 25 inch tall tire and the 350x forks.

Anyone have any ideas on how to make the front taller?? I think I may look into have a extension that can be bolted to my forks up top. Something like bolting the extension to the upper fork tube and having it clamp to it and then slide it up in the upper tree like it was the fork.

Future plans once I get the height where it needs to be include fresh powdercoat new plastic with tank. I have a 185s motor thats prob going in it, but I may throw my 200x top end on it.

The lower number is with nothing under the front tire. The other is with a four inch block

Your steering rake is nearly verticle, that rear shock mount is gonna have to be moved or the steering neck adjusted to compensate or it won't handle very well....

Im not really to concerned about handling on something that going to be nearly 20 in high off the ground. But if I I have a something machined that could lengthen the fork tubes then I coulld have it made to fit my already lengthen 200x forks which would put he rake back in.

I could always go back a couple sizes on the rear tire length.

My brother and I would always play around in the creeks years ago. We would always try to out do one another by crossing the deepest water crossing. Thats where the idea came from, but this will be more of a show piece just to drive around my sub division and stuff. Im sure it wouldnt be good to jump. I have a regular 200x still to play with and i just got a 84 250r too. And of course my yfz450 xc race quad.

Once I figure out how to raise the front 4 more inches I take some more pics.

find a set of xr200 forks from the early 80s. They bolt onto the 200x triple trees and are longer than the 200x forks by a few inches. That should help out your off set and balance out your stance of the trike without sacrificing lift.

I did this to my other 200x using the xr forks. The 350x fork are still a tad longer. But it gave my other 200x a better stance.

Sweet man. Looking at those initial pics brought me back a few months ago on my build. That should be fun. It looks like the swing arm is extended. How much farther back is it taking into account angle?
