so you mean the brass jet kinda snapped off one of the ears?
Before you go too far. are you sure it needs to come out?
Maybe just blow thru it to make sure it's clear and forget it ever happened?
They don't usually go bad, just clog with some hard calcium / plaque type deposits
altho there IS one jet with an emulsion tube under it that likes to plug up with muck.
Which one is it?
What's your carb number?
keihin 08 or ??
If it isn't the jet with the tube under it, I'd pretend it didn't happen.
BTW, I too, have an 87 es orig owner trike....one of under 5,000 made
so I know the feeling.
While you're in there, make sure your choke enrichment piston
moves freely but don't put any more pressure on it than you'd care to have against your fingernail.
They are pulled by the cable that yanks on some really flimsy metal tangs.
You DO know there are manuals for free under the 'world class help' section.
Fun to read and almost as fun as the orig sales brochures.
like the slot where the flat head goes is stripped out i tried cleaning it out with it stuck in there but still nothing i also believe it was the primary jet as it is referred to in my original honda shop manual

On the older qa01 I remember boiling the carb to get it hot
and
got some of that freeze wart remover to shrink the press in jet
and it almost fell out.
I wonder if the same physics applies to threaded things.
but really, if it was mine, I'd make sure it isn't the jet with the emulsion tube under it and forget it, or blow it our real good and then forget it.
It worked great for a quarter century so if it comes around to working,
you won't have to worry about it for quite a while.
I have my first 85+ replacement carb, around 120$ but with a regular flip choke.
Works great, but I know your trike is one of the last collector versions so you prob want to stay stock.
All the jets I've been able TO unscrew, usually take some good torque and then simply PoP and release.
I hate to say it but there is also a chance of cracking the aluminum carb casting if you get too rambunctious.
Ya know?
I think cattle-dog had a newer keihin carb for sale at one time.
You can also check the classifieds as a last resort.

Brass isn't fun in anything; BUT, it tends to grab the drill bit and may spin out. I'd try a LH drill bit also or an easy out after a little heat. Jets generally don't have corrosion unless they sat for years with crap gas in them. But I NEVER use a crappy screwdriver in the imbedded jets or your asking for trouble.....

x2 on the LH drill bit.
If you can really tune into it, rev wise and size wise,
the best thing that can happen is it bites, like it's gonna twist the drill out of your hand, and then pop the jet loose
and spins it out.
..so a variable speed reversible drill would be my choice.
The chuck may come loose since it tightens the other way.
A procedure not necessarily for the faint hearted.
Drill bits and ez outs are generally quite hard and DO fracture and broken drill bits are hard to drill out.
I just broke one off today, as a matter of fact.
If you do go that route?
try backing out a drywall screw out of a 2 by 4 with the reverse drill bit so you'll
have an idea of the physics involved.
My hope is that the carb will simply work if you blow it out real good and just put it back in.
