    My 250R HID light mod

The edition of the HID's took some work but wasn't that difficult. Hard part was finding something to work for a battery box which I kind of lucked into one day at the RV store. Consists of a lighting coil mod, trail tech reg/rectifier, 12v 5.0Ah battery, battery box of some sort, HID lights and ballasts. Light's anyone?

Swapped out the red on/off switch for a blue one and added some blue LED's on an accessory switch, also added a power point

Power point with rear facing Go Pro mount

    Left side

    Right side

Welcome to the "I can finally see at night!!" club

Those LED's are an interesting idea, and they look bad arse!! What kind of stator output are you running?

You need to get a higher output stator for your 200x, then convert it to floating ground, run a trailtech voltage regulator/rectifier, then run a 12v battery, then run an on/off switch somewhere in the circuit, probably one between the voltage reg/rec and the battery, then one between the battery and your light. Or you might be able to get away with running a 35w HID on the stock 55w stator.

It's a fun project for sure and one that opens up new options for creativity as well as lights up the terrain at night.

Pretty straight forward on how to do it once you figure out what needs to be done. It's really not hard, you just need some basic soldering skills and whatnot.
