    rolled the 200... in water

well i rolled the 81 200 trying to cross the shallow part of the pond. the snorkel held up good but i went into the deep area (4-5 feet) and it tipped on me. i pulled it to shore and towed it to the house. im draining the gas tank. and the air filter is soaked but its drying out. the snorkel actually held up really good untill it tipped over. im going to try another crossing when i get the filter dried out, will get pictures this time. i was scared bad because i thought i might have hurt the engine.. but who am i kidding. you cant kill a honda!!

+1 check that oil! if its looking the same colour as your engine (grey) you better change it lol, i had a friend swamp his 83 185s right over the handle bars, we got it out of the water, checked the oil and it was grey, he didnt care still drove it to my place about 15mins away, he made it but it smoked awhole lot.....poor honda beater !

yup. it sure was grey, I changed it. Now i cant get the honda to start(of course my luck). I figure ill let it sit till the morning. then maybe try to cross the pond again. i took my snorkel off though. I think i will make an even better one soon. when I changed the oil I think I may have over tightened the oil drain plug... it made a horrible sound but still felt tight enough on it. I'm hoping I did not strip it.

if you greyed the oil good chance you will need a new plug in it. also might have got water in your cdi connections or the pulse generator as well
