    no sparkin..

im back at my 200s no spark problem... today i took the ign coil, spark plug, CDI box And the magnetic pickup orignaly from my 200s and threw em on my uncles 200x, it fired up in one kick.... so the only logical reason my 200s wont spark is the exciter coil is bad, right???

have you disconnected the kill switch yet, just an after thought never know it might suprise you and fire up with it disconnected, I know the original that came with my 81 200 was messed up and that's all it took

if you read my first post, you will find out i did change the CDI box and the magnetic pickup over to the 200x, and it ran first kick

i think it is the exciter coil, as everything else has been checked..

no spinner he is talking about the exciter coil which is attached to the alternator stator behind the pull starter the part in the head is the pulse generator, and the black box under the fuel tank is the cdi. And if every thing else is working, you can do a voltage and ohm test on the exciter coil as well before tearing into it, if you have a good enough tester you can do amperage as well which might be the problem
