So why is the '86 200x so much better that the earlier generations??

So I had an '83 200x, then when I got my 350x I sold it because it didn't impress me a great deal..

Many have said, 'you should get the 86-87, it's so much better'..why? What is so different about it?

I found one in good shape local to me and might consider it for my next addition to the growing herd.
