I had some Bear Claws years ago on the back of my mid 90's Suzuki LT230 quadrunner sport 2x4 and those things would climb a tree. I never got stuck. The seemed like the best thing going compared to pricey vampires and such.

dougspcs have you looked into Super Grip Super Lights? I am also about to purchase mud rears, had a line on cheap Bearclaws, but I thought the tire weight was too much, I heard a recommendation of Interco Swamp Lights for the type of Northern Ontario mud I ride in. I'm scared to go too aggressive because of the other 70% of time I'm on hard pack trail, or sometimes pavement. Gotta keep comfy ride and save the lugs. Let us know what you get!
I like them..I see what you mean about the weight of the Bear Claws. They weigh in a nearly 30lbs each...
I just pulled the trigger on a set of the Super Grip Super Lites..I'll let you know how they work out.
The other one might be needing a set before fall also..I may get the Zilla's I was looking at to compare.
Thanks for your input guys.

I know i'm late, but, i've had two mudlites on my 250es for a few months. While i had them, i hated them, they don't have much traction at all when being compared to bearclaws. When my bearclaws on my es wear out, i will definitely be buying another set. The side lug on the bearclaws and the overall tread pattern put them on top of mudlites by far. But, yes, they weigh quite a bit more, but i never noticed a difference in power on my es when i switched from Mud lites, to the 26" kenda bearclaws.

Yeah Jason, I like those rims/tires you have..just for me I wanted to stick with the OEM size and those rims you put on were a little pimped for my taste..
Also a lot of dough..not to say they aren't cool!!

i love my bear claws i have had them for a long time and they are very low on tread in the middle and still do great with that side tread and the weight factor i think helps in mud
I got a brand new set here on the bench I'll let go for $85.00 ,you can pm me if you would like them. I have rims to but would cost to much to ship, but they are Douglas aluminum 9's . They have a set of paddles that my 250r turned them inside out at the dunes one day.
I'm interested if you are willing to sell justin4!
