I prefer thumb to twist, but it does start to get sore on long rides. On a 90 though I don't think you'll be doing any 50 mile runs though!
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.

I feel awkward when using a twist* throttle at first but once I'm on a machine for a while it kinda flows naturally no matter what the throttle is.

Its all in what you are comfortable with. I use twist on all my high performance bikes cuz its easier to control and hang on once your use to it. trail riding thumb all the way even with that extender job on makes life nice on the trail. I'm split down the middle half do and half don't .

Thumb only. Twists for me r too unpredictable. U bounce or hit a bump or pull back and accidentally crack wide open throttle..... Not good. Large snow banks come up real fast. Then next thing u know u r folded over the handle bars.

This is not a fictional story, lol.

thumb. twist makes it hard for me to use my right hand to steer , also makes it hard for me to use the brake. also its not very precise. Youve got two positions pretty much, quarter or all in, also when you go over rough stuff I at least tend to jiggle the throttle. I would never twist a 4 stroke, I sort of like the feel on a 2 stroke though, but ive never ridden a thumb throttle 2 stroke so ive got nothing to compare a twist 2 stroke to. Its all up to what you prefer but if you ever wanted to sell it you would have a harder time selling it with a twist

hmmm, when I sit back and dream of riding bikes and think about using a twist throttle I often think like OMG I hit a bump and just floor it or turn hard and floor it. <--True STory about me dreaming that. But when I'm on the bike riding it, this just doesn't happen and I do feel completely in control. For some reason some people are just die hard for the thumb, but for me it just seems kinda lame. I think twist throttles are way cooler and have just always worked great for me, then again I grew up riding dirtbikes and am kinda new to the 3 wheeled thing.

I would have to go with the twist I have it on both my 200x and 250r and just love it but I prefer the thumb with the big red and the 200s but after a few years driving with both I can barelu tell the difference between the 2 I just find it comes in pretty natural.
