New England Ride??

If it ain't for you Ant, it ain't for you. I ain't gonna try and talk you into anything. BUT, I came from a Tecate and my R before getting in the woods up there on my SX. For the first hour or so it was awkward being so narrow and bouncy. After I got used to it, I'll never go back to a pinger up there, or even a 350X. I remember how blown your mind was when you rode the SX just 50 feet and then back. If you can somehow get over the initial change from a sport bike to a trail bike, your back will thank you. I used to be ready to hit the sack for a week straight after our rides. Now I could go all night!

Im remember that, it was super plush! My BR doesnt ride like that though...its all stock even tires but nowhere near as plush as your SX was

stupid question but is the air pressure in tires low enough? The tires soak up a ton of the impact

they're pretty low, prolly could go lower but i think its got alot to do w/ the SX just having a much better front end. Either way they are all great in their own way....i just dont know if i can get used to not have that at the flick of the thumb!

My back went out on me last night. It's been a stressful week and I didn't get much sleep last night. I'll be doing some stretches today and this evening and going right to bed tonight. I can be a grumpy bastage when my back's in a knot so I really hope this clears up.

well, it has come to this.... i will speak clearly and honestly on the subject once, in the hopes of putting it to bed. Big Al is not gonna go. he's not mad, or offended, or making any kind of a stand or statement, he's just checked out. he's "all set" with it. it was a job just to get him to go in the first place, and I hounded him to get on 3WW. i set his account up for him. its just not really his cup of tea, but i thought he'd be more comfortable going on the rides if he had a little previous interaction with you guys. he thinks i'm a freakshow for being on here all the time and he thought i was psycho when i went on the ride with ten dudes i didnt know last time. i talked it up and talked it up and talked it up until he agreed to try it. well, he tested the waters and didn't like how they felt. i don't blame him, and he IS NOT WRONG in feeling that way. I tried to explain to him that i've met you guys, and that you really can't get an idea of who these people are by a five second computer screen interaction. his response was "they're putting me in betty ford after one post, but I'm the onewho shouldn't judge?" that was tough to argue with. he just can't see going into the woods for ten hours without having an issue. tough to convince him otherwise. i'll keep working on him and maybe he'll come on a future ride. now, that leaves me in a tough spot. this ride was planned for awhile. work schedules were changed, plans were made, and wives are involved. my loyalty is to him. I can't leave the kid because its not the right thing to do. it sucks BAD, but i'm gonna miss this ride. we're gonna take a rip either in walpole or webster with another buddy of ours. don't read into this any deeper than what it is. a confluence of circumstance that results in me not making this one. i have NO BEEF with any one of you guys. fabio, you were 100% out of line. (also, i think you're a little bit nuts, but i'm ok with that). after meeting you, i think you're a good dude, and i have no problem with you whatsoever. we all make mistakes and i think you know you were wrong on this one. Did you ever see "Kingpin"? do you remember the part where Woody Harrelson was in vegas and he was all dejected, sitting at the bar, and he turns to the stranger next to him and screams "WHO YOU CALLING A PSYCHO!!!" thats basically what you did. kinda funny, actually. it makes for a good story. each of you guys has been good about apologies and explanations and everything to the point where i just want it to go away. its over and i'm sick of the drama. its like american chopper, all about drama BS and nothing about riding. so, in closing, i am sorry to miss this ride. i really, really wanted to go. i will make the next one, although april is busy. i'll still try to bring Al. You guys will like him. enjoy the ride tomorrow and take pictures. i'll be riding, having a few BEERS, and telling stories about my crazy friends on 3ww.

All I know is my machine is ready to go and I'll be there before 9 am for hte drawing. I figure even if it's just me and Craig we can do donuts in his yard and drink in the garage all day. Either way I'll be there boys even if it's a ride of 1...

Anthony the trails are still ridable for sleds. Al has been out everyday this week with the groomer. Only bad part its the first hill. Got the info from Jamie last nite. So you should be fine.
