I asked the mods the other day to delete your post. Obviously they did not find your post worthy of deletion, so I will take the time to answer you here.

You find us "imbarising", do you? Well I'll tell you what's embarrassing. The fact that you have just posted in our thread is embarrassing to me. The fact that you think we're "talking smack and not showing" is completely wrong, except for Deathrocket who insists on continuing to post even though he's never showed up. I can't control what he does though, nor can I control what you do. But I can answer your post to correct the ugly mark you've just left on our thread.

We come from all over New England and meet about once a month for these rides. We ride year round in rain, snow, and mud. We are comrades and we treat each other as such. We may owe each other explanations from time to time, but never do we owe you one. We have riders that convene upon a predetermined spot that have driven 2+ hours from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New York, Maine, and Connecticut. Sometimes 10 people say they're going to show up and 5 make it. Sometimes 5 people say they're going to show up and 10 make it. I've been on rides in NH where there were almost 20 trikes. When was the last time you've seen a group of 20 trikes out in the woods? When was the last time you've seen a group of even 5 trikes out in the woods? Our ride thread is about a year and a half old, yet it has more views than any other ride thread in this forum. It has almost double the views of any of the Trikefest picture threads and nothing else even comes close, and this isn't even our first thread! We've got probably another dozen ride thread before we started just sticking to this one! We are probably the biggest group that rides 3 wheelers as consistently as we do on the entire planet. If you think that's questionable, you show me a group of 3 wheelers that gets together once a month in numbers ranging from 3 to almost 20 as often as we do. There are the guys who race that get together quite a bit now, but not quite as much during the winter months. Our level of commitment to this hobby is second to none, and our camaraderie with each other is just as strong.

Now as far as the guys missing this particular ride, we all know what happened off the record. There is no drama, no problems, just life. I told these guys from the get-go I wasn't making this ride. I had a 10 year army reunion from when we deployed to Iraq. I wasn't going to miss that. I'll tell you what I'm really offended by the most. TecateDan is one of my closest friends. I've known him since we were in the 4th grade and we're 33 years old now. Dan's reason for not coming is actually a very sensitive situation. It has to deal with life and death. I will not say any more than that and I hope I haven't said too much already. If you were face to face with me and you were to question Dan's motives for not making this ride, we would have an issue. You have no idea what is going on in these people's lives and Dan had ever right to stay home this day. None of us are worried about it and you aren't even owed an explanation. I am giving you one though because you are embarrassing me with your post in our thread.

In the future, I would appreciate it if you keep out of our thread. You are on my radar now and I will have my eyes open. We are not just a group of guys that all got together one day and decided trikes are cool. We all grew up in different places, aside from Dan and I, and we all have been 3 wheeler enthusiasts for almost our whole lives. We were all apart, yet we all had the same drive to ride the same machine even though most of us were surrounded by riders of quads and bikes. This is what brought us together. Our pure love of trikes that was started individually but then combined.

I have said it many times in this forum and I stand by my words. We push these bikes to the limit, far past what most members do. If anyone wants to question that, that is fine. Come on out and prove you and your bike can hack it or keep your mouth shut. You are questioning those that are far past your level.
And that is why I elect John as our Thread monitor!! It has been two years since i have seen these comrades, and stand by every word stated. We all travel a good amount of distance to meet for these rides and obviously life has a way of getting in between hobbies. Like your mother once said Rocco, if you don't have something nice to say the shut the trail pro up!

wher'd you ride saturday rocco? i ate steak tips at the top of a mountain in new hampshire while standing on a cliff looking all the way out into new york and canada. then i killed a moose with my bare hands. ok, ok, ok, scratch that about the moose. then we saw a (little)* moose on the trail. nobody got hurt and the 200m made it back to home base without a breakdown. i had a blast, as did the others in attendance. top notch day. it sucked a little not having the others there, but life happens. we'll all go back. what i cant figure is how the ride roster of a random saturday in the new england snow ruffles the feathers of a georgia bird. call me a conspiracy theorist, but i feel there are other forces at play here. doesn't bother me though. fabio is on the case. i'm sure he'll locate any errant rockets before they hit their target.

    * jeff-of-the-woods said it was little. it was quite large, in my opinion. much bigger then the east boston moose. but i'm certainly no expert.

yeah, I know I am not the one to chime in on this, as I am the guy that can't seem to make it out to ride for the last year.. yup.. a whole year.. anyways, I am not really sure how ya can get that all of the die hard's on this thread are limp noodles from pretty much only my empty promises. so yeah, guess that is my fault.. and hey fabio, (and all) after the year I had last year, needed something to keep me motivated to get the trike ready.. sorry if it turned into empty promises, didn't think it was gonna take this long, but it did.. the harassment from y'all has kept me motivated to get things done, and keep me sane after the s**tstorm also known as 2012. no more hurdles to jump, sold my old car today, bought another one and the trailer hitch is in the mail, got my trail sticker the other day. also found out that my trike is one of the first 250r's ever built.. so shes gotta get back on the trail after a very long hiatus..

Hey guys, great thread, great pics here! I don't mean do pollute your thread, just wanna say hi to my fellow New England trikers. I'm currently still working on my big red as time allows in order to be ready for a future ride with you guys. Should be ready soon. My only question is this. I am 36 and this is my first year getting back into riding since I was 14. From what i understand you guys ride hard. Is there any chance any of you guys would be willing to go with me on a fairly slower ride just to help me get back in the groove and still be able to see some new sites? Thanks fellas

We always wait for everyone, not matter how slow they go. We never ask anyone to over-ride their capabilities. If there are faster riders at the front, they wait for the entire group at every junction. Nobody has any issues waiting for slower riders. We'd just prefer you stay upright and ride at your comfort level. We ride for fun, but not everyone finds high speeds fun. Come on out, you won't be disappointed.

Do you have an 85-87 Big Red? A lot of the places we go require front and rear suspension.

Thats good to hear fabio, thank you for yojr reply. Yes, mybr has build date of 8/85. Not sure if that makes it an 85 or 86, but either way as you know it is suspended. I'll keep plugging away at it to make it acceptable for trail riding standards. Should be ready for mid to late april. It won't be lretty but it will be safe and hopefully have the bugs worked out. Thanks again andtake care brother!
