Dont mean to be the local and chime in here like i know everything but just wanted to let you guys know the scoop. The 5 bucks thing is new since he started redoing the land down in the parking area and its also to support building the MX track. He recently purchased that land so thats why this is happening now. His intention it to actually open the track down the line to the public as a place to race. i know it kinda sucks seeing how people never had to pay before but really its only 5 bucks, goes to a good cause and i think its worth it for a place to park and go riding for the day. That being said im not a spokeman for jamie ( the owner) and he has no idea about me posting this to you guys. Just wanted to let you know.

ALSO, and this is mostly why i am posing. Just a word of warning, watch what you say to the owner (Jamie) b/c he is quick to judge and has a temper and will not think twice about telling you to not come back. I've seen and heard about him kicking abunch of people out for good already that have given him attitude or refused to pay. Hes an easy going guy unless you give him a reason. Just remember you are on his land.

Again, im just saying this to clear the air and let you guys know whats up, im not trying to do anything but that so i hope im not coming off as a "local" dickhead or anything. My true intentions here are to make sure you guys can still access this riding spot b/c i know you guys like coming up here alot and i like to think im friends with all you guys and would like to continue riding with you. Its been great the few times ive been out with ya, wish i could have been goin all along but have been plauged w/ injury. so, i know this is long winded but thanks guys and just wanted to give you the heads up. hope to see you guys soon!

PS. on another note, is anyone going to trikeFest? If so and you would not mind possibly (not solid yet) picking up some rims for me let me know and that would be great.

well there ya go! when i do ride up there, the five bucks will be happily handed over, the regulations for riding around here seem to be getting tighter and tighter.. so I am all for rides on private land, and hopefully just hopefully, I will be able to participate in the festivities next ride, I may not have a trailer, but i should be coming home with an SUV that if I take the swing arm off will be able to fit it in the back, or I might do the same with a cargo carier.. either way, I'm going riding! lol

Ya know, I have come home and found people on my track; Either old friends, someone running into it by accident or whatever. I just say "be careful and the backhoe digs 19.5' with a wink".

YES, they can sue me but it's there for a purpose.

Sounds like NH won't be the "forever" trike spot.

We need to get a couple dozen guys to pony up some land for US to own.

I'd have no problem if everyone ponied up 7-10K. Don't let that figure shock you. They are squeezing out of everywhere!! If I could get out of this house and down by the power lines, I'd be a happy man................

its not the 5 dollars. he really should put a sign then instead of the awkward sneak up. im more of a spiteful person so it didnt leave a good taste to me. i could care less otherwise as it his land.

super350 knows we are good group.

If he's only asking for $5 that's fine with me Anthony. What bothered me is that Paul said he wasn't very nice about asking for it. There's no need to be an arse. It's his land so if we gotta pay we gotta pay, no big deal.

Also Anthony, send me a PM if you need some rims brought back up here from TF.

i thought powere lines were state owned land?? Funny we can pony up the 5 bucks, but cant go anywhere near the track on our trikes! Can't we just park at dads, and say f- off to this dude? No problem paying, but like the other boys, nothing burns me more than a rude arse!! Maybe a sign at the entrance stating something along the lines of what you informed us super 350, would be a better way to go about it!

the state has the "right of way" but that section all the way up the mountain is private owned. The spot in the woods is still free (only a few spots avail.) and Al might let you park at his place but i'll one up that and as long as i know you guys are coming in advance im sure my roomate (owner of where i live) would let you guys park at our place no problem! And i do think Jamie made up some signs but i honestly dont know if they are up or not.

I'm with Rory on this one. Be up front and just say hey it's 5 bucks but have at it on the track.. The last time I was up there there was somebody else wandering around the the parking lot telling me that I need to join something and pay money to ride up there. Not sure who it was but it was a club membership of some sorts and one of hte guys was so dismanteled he could hardly walk. I go riding to have a good time and not deal with all the BS of normal life. If it 5 bucks just put a sign up and I'll pay but I hate being hasseled.

It was probably one of the NH ATV (nhatv.com) club members, they are always trying to recruit people to join the club because they help keep trails like these opened and maintained.
