The terrain was somewhat challenging, but that's the norm for us and that's how we like it! My first trip to Pisgah and I love it already! My body is sore this morning, but that's a good thing. Thanks Rory and Jeff for bringing grub again, you guys friggin rule. We had a couple great additions to our group in 2012, and 2013 is starting off the same way. Redsox made it out for his first ride with us ever, and he fits right in! The terrain was not what he's used to but he trooped on and made it everywhere we did yesterday. There's a lot to be said for that! When we were stopped for our final break before leaving the park yesterday, I wanted to keep riding. I had another couple hours left in me! It was a great time with great people as usual! The ride went 100% smoothly with zero mechanical failures and minimal dirt naps. This is why we need machines that are up to snuff. I can't stress it enough guys- We're going MILES into the woods. The time to fix your machine up is BEFORE you leave the parking lot and head into the woods.

Steve, before the next ride we should drag your SX out. Maybe this week, while it's fresh in our minds?

awsome ride fella's, as usual!! I like the 8:30 arrival time better, especially with the limited daylight! Although the last leg in the semi darkness was probably the funnest part!! Straight Rippin!! Nice to meet MR. Sox!!

Gentlemen,,,, AWESOME RIDE. I'm a little sore today also, but good sore. I soaked my left knee in advil and Jameson last night and it seemed to really do the trick. It was great to meet all you guys. Your hospitality is unmatched. Really,,, seriously,,, thank you to everyone. Its a trip to put faces to the names. Great guys, great food, great weather, GREAT terrain. Wicked challenging!!! I thought I had my S%@t together before I went.... My eyes were opened. I had a blast, despite putting the SX on its roof. You guys are hardcore, legit. I've got the rig all re-zip tied and I bent the bars back into shape. You can't even tell I ate it. I gotta dig into the engine to get things ready for next time. I'm in, if you'll have me! I'M HOOKED! (maybe a hardtail ride in the meantime?) SOOO glad I went. On a side note,, a little unsolicited advice, from a first timer, to anyone who follows this thread and has been considering going along. This ride is for real. These guys do it right. The snow was a great equalizer in terms of speed, and I still couldn't keep up. Everyone was awesome about stopping at the junctions and chilling out until my slow ass caught up. I felt like a small burden, so i'm glad my machine performed well mechanically. This is not a ride for trailside wrenchin'!! So,,, if you've been reading this thread, get your s*^t together, get your machine top-notch, grow a set, and get out there. Its awesome. its so much fun, IT OUTTA BE ILLEGAL!!

We were at Pisgah on this round IronBear. Keep your eyes on the thread, you should try and make it out sometime. That ES is the trike to bring. Where we go, the SX and the ES are kings. I think I can speak for almost everyone in the group when I say we're not really interested in having any quads in the group.

Other than the fact it sucks for Rory it's the same or closer for me so I'm in. Fabio depending on who goes etc we should meet in franklin to save on the fuel just off 495

I don't take 495 to get to Bear Brook. I go up 24 to 93 I believe.
