Dan, I'm genuinely flattered you've selected me to serve as Grand Marshal of the OFS parade, but I won't be making this ride. Go back and read post #689 on page 46. I think you thought I could make it judging from your welcome, but I was talking about August not September...gotta be at work.

Not that it matters since I'm not going but
I agree with Rory about the trike only ride....and the strobe light Fabs

I may not have as many posts on this site as most of you, but I may as well add my 2 cents.

Is the problem here everyone parking in the same area?

Or is it the skill level of the riders?

We don't all have to park together or even ride the same trails in order to have a group event. Those of you that are planning to go Bawls to the wall could simply park at one location, and we could easily have an alternate location with more leisurely trails for the more leisurely riders. We could easily meet up and have a group lunch or something on the trails with a little coordination..

I have access to a place in Fitzwilliam that has ample parking available, though I dont know the trails in the area. Maybe one of you guys that lives up that way can chime in about what trails are good for what and if they connect.

Edit: Either way, I'll be there.

Hey Furno. Parking I believe has been solved by ANT ( thank you BTW) my original concern was the size of the ride group given how tight the trails are. I think we are suggesting the same thing here. WE split into two smaller groups to ride and meet up at certain spots on the trail...etc

There is parking at the base of the trail as well but some people haev been experiance some problems parking there so we were looking into parking at ANT's house. No need for anyone to go somewhere else in my opinion

I have next week off!!! I gave my notice this week nad they asked me to leave immediately (sales Job). I start my new job on the 17th and was wondering if there was anyone else around that may be up for a mid week ride next week? I talked to Furno last night and sounds like he would be down. Probably thinking of somewhere near either him or me..

I'm buisy on the 11th and 12th. any other day is fine.

Theres trails near me though I dont know them well. Theres ample parking at my place for anyone that wants to come, and you can use my kitchen/bathroom if u want. . Just please don't have an insanely loud exhaust on your bike as I try to fly under the radar.

My addy is: 65 Southeast main st. 01516. If you google it, you can see the trunkline trail and a lot of other marked trails out here. Also have some sand pits.

Don't worry about Reggies in MA Rory you basically can't ride legally in this stateand certainlly not on the trunk trail

The Southern New England Trunkline Trail is a rail trail in Massachusetts.[1]

It occupies an abandoned railroad corridor running for approximately 22 miles (35 km) with an eastern terminus at Union Street in downtown Franklin, Massachusetts and a western terminus at the Connecticut state line in the Douglas State Forest, Douglas, Massachusetts.

The trail is designated for use by pedestrians, equestrians or non-motorized vehicles.

Theses are the only places you can ride in MA legally and half are for dirt bike only

Many Tolland trails merge with public ways where ATV use is prohibited. ATV riders will find more suitable trails in Beartown, October Mt. and Pittsfield State Forests.

    Southeastern Massachusetts

These two forests are open to ORV use through the partnership of the Pilgrim Sands Trail Riders and King Philip Trail Riders who help to maintain the trails for all visitors. For more detailed information, trail maps and directions go to www.mass.gov/dcr/forparks.htm
