We got screwed on the storm up here. No accumulation just a coating of ice. I'm gonna rethink my choice of tires. I expected six inches.

have you actually been out on em? i got a feeling theres not much snow left. i know it doesnt matter for you guys (except for what tires to use) but if theres more rocks than snow im out, my back isnt up for it

Did I hear you stuck your nose up at a Big Red? Snow or not, you're in for a Cadillac-smooth ride if you take a Big Red or SX with balloons on them. I'd highly recommend it Anferny. You still got the Red? Break it out! Your back condition will grant you permission to join the lazy and geriatric crew. One of us! One of us! One of us!

As far as the red goes ..great machines but the exact opposite of what im used to which is plenty of power with a flick of the throttle, wide wheel base, low center of grav and slim front tire....riding around at high speeds i just have no confidence, i dont know how you do it jeff! Im going to try and make it but no promises

You will never meet a better group of guys.
Something happens and we all gang up to repair it.
Occasionally someone needs a death ride tow back to the truck and I do so
By the time we finish we are all beat up and ready to head out.
Just prepare for the weather, cold hands and feet when you've got mountains to climb back to base.
We ride, laugh, take shots at each other and have a great trouble free day.

As far as the pops go, one thing I have thought about is that you could probably be in deep chit if a Ranger smelled it on you. So, less is better; We don't bring 30 packs

If it ain't for you Ant, it ain't for you. I ain't gonna try and talk you into anything. BUT, I came from a Tecate and my R before getting in the woods up there on my SX. For the first hour or so it was awkward being so narrow and bouncy. After I got used to it, I'll never go back to a pinger up there, or even a 350X. I remember how blown your mind was when you rode the SX just 50 feet and then back. If you can somehow get over the initial change from a sport bike to a trail bike, your back will thank you. I used to be ready to hit the sack for a week straight after our rides. Now I could go all night!
