well you could always measure and add an inch more to the top to see if it will rub and do the same to the front of the tire. knowing that i to am running 25's on one of my big reds i can see easily that i can stuff the next size up under the back end with out rubbing. are you running beefy tread or all terrains?

The last digit is your rim size. Right now you have 9 inch rims, you can't put 12 inch tires on a 9 inch rim.

    height-width-rim diameter
    Rides:
1986 ATC250R (sectional pipe and Klemm Research silencer)
1986 ATC250R (Desert Bike, WAX-ON seat, Dual Cibie lights, Steering Stabilizer)
1979 ATC110 (Bandito frame and forks, Turbo wheels, disc braked)
    1982 ATC70 (Lifan manual 125)
    1987 LT80 (piped, widened)

well beefy mud tires shouldnt be a problem. although im thinking you might have 9 inch diameter rims but the width is probably wider i bet. which a 12in wide tire will fit fine on it. but like i said before measure your tire from end to end add one inch to the top and it will roughly show you where the new tire will be and the same from back to front add one inch and that will show you where how close it will come to your fender near your peg.

Sorry to jack the thread, but I've been looking at those tires for my BR. How do they ride on hard packed gravel?

Well they certainly aren't as mushy on the hard surface as the orginal balloon tires, but then this isn't the hard-tail model trike so the suspension makes up..had it for a bit of a run since installed and I like them so far. A bit of noise on hard surface also, nothing bad..at least no 'tractor tire' vibration. They sure did tighten up the handling at higher speed. I like that!

Going to my parents farm this weekend..lots of bush and riverflats, hopefully some mud!!

Jason recommended them and from the looks of the tread I think they will go pretty much anywhere..he has the same tire in 27 on some pimped Alum rims, I think he's in for about $600 for just 2. I stayed stock size and just installed them on the OEM rims. I sure am liking how they look!!

I think I'll get a set for my 250SX also..they also have a close to stock size for it. (22x12x8)

This is the place I ordered them from..quick service, delivered in less than 4 days. Best price I found on the net..

did you go the same size on all three or did you change the size for the front wheel?

All three the exact same..I don't mix and match sizes unless the application calls for it like my 350x. The BR is one of those trikes that would probably handle badly if you mixed the sizes/style of tires. Though I'm sure there are those to would argue that..just my opinion.

Keep the same, keep the machine more balanced..that is the way is was designed.

Besides it looked way more badazz with all three..!!
