I've seen a simple dipstick with a temp gauge in it
specifically for old honda trikes. Prob in a magazine article I read on here.

Also saw on CL a temp gauge dipstick with an oil
level meter of some sort for a harley but it
    needed batteries to work.

I remember some little stick on temp sensor
that was used for industrial equipment and pretty sure the next model up had some sort of grounding kill circuit that would stop the machine if it got too hot.

Maybe boat motors have an overheat switch in case the waterjackets get plugged with weeds.

    Interesting question for sure.
    Could be a moneymaker too.

Easy cheap add on for people like us?

ooooohhhh, ok, a sensor to turn on electric fans.
Not just a gauge for entertainment purposes.

Most are adjustable within a wide range that I've seen.

Someone's gotta know about one that may be trike specific/compatible.
    Wonder where everyone is?
Say watercooled engines like around 180* and cooling systems are pressurized in case they go above 212*f.

I have one of those laser pointer temp gauges so the next time I run mine hot, I'll just shoot it and get a
    hot running temp for you.
Prob tomorrow since I need to blow off some steam anyway.
Hey? I wonder if the search key would help with that answer?

Manual override so it cools when the trike is sitting too?
