What is it and whats it worth?

Well guys, I am looking at a 3 wheeler I can probably get really cheap. The guy said he thinks its a 2 stroke 125. Its a Honda, I know that much. He sent me a picture of it and it seems like an ATC 90 or ATC 110. can anyone ID it for me? Its been painted black. I know Honda never made a 2 stroke 125Click image for larger version.

Exactly what I thought. The guy said he wants atleast $100 for it. I'm trying to work out a trade deal. If anything I'll swap a Lifan 127cc engine I have sitting around into it.

Don't do it. It's not worth it. If it looks like that I'm sure a ton is wrong with it.

I think the question isn't what is it?? The question what isn't it..part lawnmower, tank from ?, seat and fenders?

It is a true Frankentrike..and definitely with the other guys. Not a 2 stoke..4 stroke 90/110

    Nothing pretty about that..walk away.

Stevens, don't ask everyone else what the trike is worth, what's it worth to you personally? When people first get into this hobby, they feel that they have to rescue every forlorn basket case in the world. Well, you don't. Please don't think you'll get rich buying and selling machines, as for the most part, you won't. Get yourself a nice machine and learn how to ride it and wrench on it. Make sure you have a shop manual and a nice set of tools that includes decent ft/lb and in/lb torque wrenches. Don't load yourself up with a bunch of stuff you don't really want. The hobby is here to be enjoyed. There are nice people on here to meet to ride with and wrench with and socialize with as well. And remember, something is only worth what you or someone else is willing to pay for it. There are tons of people on here that will be the first to jump in and say a trike is worth a fortune or a part is worth a fortune that don't know what they are talking about. US 90 tires are great evidence of that mentality as well as Tiger trikes. Don't listen to them. They will tell you not to turn your trike into a quad. They will tell you what color to make your trike. Do what you want. Have fun. Don't believe everthing people tell. Even me. You won't be hurting my feelings at all. If you are worried about what a trike is worth or what it is, then stay away from it. You'll learn in time. You are young and just getting started. Get your 250r running and enjoy it.

You're right Vealmonkey. To me, its not worth more than $75. I'll go there and check it out and if it runs and drives and is structurally solid I will tell him $75 or I walk. I want it because its something less scary than a 250r to learn on, Something smaller with less power and I can throw around a bit easier. I'll put a lot more thought into it for sure.

In a couple weeks time, you'll own that 250r. And really if your not scared of any trike that you get on to ride it, then don't get on it. Cause if you don't keep a little fear as to what can happen, then you will lose respect for the machine and it will bite you. Don't let the fear paralyze you, but let it make you always think ahead. And please wear a helmet at all times. And when you get some experience on the 250r, then the next time you pass through MD on rte 95, then you can come take the Tigers for a spin. Just start out learning the clutch on the 250r and riding around in 1st gear and go from there.
