Kenda Bear Claws on the BR 250ES..worth every penny!!!

It was suggested by Jason(and others) that the tires I should get for my BR should be Bear Claws..so I ordered a set and installed them..

    They looked awesome!!

But I had no where to really test them out until this weekend. My folks own 50 acres rural property in SW Ontario, about half is bush and river flats. Very heavy with growth, fallen logs, ravines & cuts..perfect testing ground..

Man did these tires live up to the hype!! Everyone needs a set of these!!!

Can't wait to save a few bucks for another set for the 250SX

Great Doug! I'm glad you like them! They look great on there. Mine have never let me down. I only have two on the rear of my 250es at the moment... i was about to buy one for the front, but im curious, how does it steer with the bearclaw on the front? It looks badasz, but i need a well performing front tire for the conditions that i ride in.

I can find no fault with the steering quality of these tires..

We rode most of the weekend on almost every surface but pavement..gravel road, wheat field, heavy growth, logs, wet soil.

It conquered all and the steering was great..no side slip or speed wobble at all!!

Actually don't really feel the need for spacers..the stability was improved greatly with the heavier construction of the tires. Totally eliminated the roll feeling, also any wider and I will have difficulty in the tight spots like moving between trees..

True I will miss the 'drifting' with the SX if I put the Bear Claws on. But I still have the 350x..

My parent's property has a great bluff where the topography goes from the high of the farm field down to the river flats.

My brother and I have plans to build a bunch of hill climbs there..we did one this weekend and it was awesome. But the SX struggled to climb it compared to the BR..

The BR with these tires has climbing abilities I thought only quads were capable of..stand up on the pegs and lean up over the tank and I believe this thing could go up a wall without flipping!!

1.5" spacers make the BR feel even better.... LOVE mine
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

The thought of doing this is still there .. also I like the idea of the left kit I saw in the other thread. An extra 2" would be cool!!

Maybe after I'm done with tires on my SX..definitely agree with the spacers idea on that machine!! My brother rides it mainly and he manages to topple it just about everytime we ride..

What size tires you got on the rear, smaller? Or is it a lift you put in that makes the tire to fender height look more than mine?
