    possible new three wheeler, opinions?

First off let me introduce myself, my names Jeremy, im new to three wheelers but not new to offroading i have a dune buggy made from a subaru wagon, a jeep cherokee, a diesel blazer, and had an 86 tt350 dirtbike (chain snapped and went through crank case). Anyways ive got some money and ive been looking around for a decent offroad toy thats not as bad on gas as my full sized rigs and i found this.

I made him an offer for $325 and he said hed think about it so im hoping it works out. Is there anything i should know about this type of three wheeler or anything to look for when buying it?

I would consider it but this is the only other honda in my price range, I would pay $250 for it but to be honest i think i would be better off with a good working kawasaki than a honda that looks worn out as hell and is gonna need a lot of work.

Go for the KLT. Haven't seen a red one in a long time, and the price is definitely right!

So aside from the debate is there anything i should know about it? One thing that seems cool is the locking diffs, Another thing i was wondering about is speed, my tt350 would cruise at 70 all day along and im certaintly not expecting this thing to but you thing it will have any problem mantaining around 45 mph?

if i had to choose i'd take the goat 1st, only cuz i'm a honda guy and i'd name her honda. 2nd would be the klt but that tank and fender look like 110 or 160. i can't seem to remember their tanks looking like that more the long skinny strech plastics. the forks are like a big stick of butter....smooth.....last would be the honda and only for 50 bucks. i'd use it as a bait bike outside my sheds.... you gotta remember with the goat you get milk so thats a plus

If those are your only 2 choices you don't need to pick a trike you need a new place to live or at least look a little further from were you live on Craigslist. Just a thought(look further on CL).

Well there not my only choices but they are the only ones i see in my price range which sadly is in the under $450 area. As far as it being a 110 or 160 ill have to watch for that cause 200 is small enough but 110 is way to small for me, im 6 foot 4, 230 lbs so i dont think that would haul me around to well

I currently own an 85 honda 200m and a 83 KLT 200c(the 1 in the picture). the KLT will out pull the Honda all day when doing work, it should reach 45mph tops(no problem getting there), and it has a manual clutch... I've also got a complete repair manual.

The Honda on the other hand - i play with it more due to the auto clutch and the lack of a battery for my KLT.

The KLT Is 1 heck of a work horse - it's under rated in my opinion.

Well the good news is i love manuals so thats not a problem, Another good thing about that is even though they dont have a kick starter so your kinda dependent on a battery i suppose if it were an emergency you would be able to push start it.

I wouldn't go for the big red, at least not a 200es One. SUCH a pain in the ass to find certain parts for, not to mention the dumb way they did reverse on that year. Just go with the Kawasaki if you cant find a different better shape honda.

You would be surprised!! A 110 can haul my butt around like nothing, although I'm just slightly shorter than you.
