Ok on my yt 175 it wont shift up or down so its stuck in gear could it be I need a shifter fork? Beacuse one person said it was clutch plates then the other said it was the shifter fork. But if it was the clutch plates it would shift right?

Take the right case cover off, it'll give you a god view of how the auto shift works & you might see what's jammed up- the right side is where the sift shaft end is & the clutch also.

if its an 1983 when u check out the plates DONT LOSE the one spacer plate in the pack u wont be able to find it any where!!!youlll have clutch plates friction plates than 1 spacer do not lose it,clutch wont work right with out it, might be what wrong with it now!

If you take out 2-4 balls from the clutches, you can increase the stall before the motor engages. Lets you be closer/in the powerband as soon as you start rolling.

are you saying it won't shift out of 1st while it is running of while it is not running. If you do not have the engine running it will not shift more than once (sitting still) unless I roll the bike forward some. Then I can get it to shift to the next gear. This is how every atv I have owned is.

But if its sitting still on my 185 it will sift into N tho.
Ok if you shift it down it make the click so it should be in N right nope so I shift up it clicks still in 1st. i can tell beacuse when i pull it over the front sproket moves.
