Widening the rear on a 350x... Benefits?

Whats the benefits of widening the rear wheels on a trike? More stability, better cornering, look of the stance... Is it worth messing with? Whats the best spacers to go with and where could I find them? I've got a NOS axle so I don't want to change that out. Just kicking this around, I had seen some alum spacers on E-bay and got to thinking...

Spacers are a great addition. I love them. Wider stance just looks so much better, and the stability is great for drifting corners.

Spacers work, just make sure you get a quality set. You could also go with offset wheels too.

It depends on what kind of riding you do. Tight trails with small spaces in between trees and stuff, spacers are bad. If you have wide open spaces that are fairly flat and you want to slide, spacers are good. If you have a real rocky or pockmarked area you ride in, beware. Spaced out rear axles can bite you if you are not careful. Narrow rears are easier to slide than wide rears, that's why racers use wide and offset rear axles, to help prevent sliding and get bite and leverage.

I have a set of 1.5" alum spacers on my 400X, and a set of 2.5" Alum spacers on my Big Red. Got them from Highlifter.com

Ive had these on my 350x for a while now. Theyve held up really well and are really easy to install. It makes the bike way more stabile and looks good.
