Rode it over to the neighbors, seemed like it was loading up a little, parked it, and never popped off again... Was gonna stick a new plug in it when I discovered.....

Anyone got a spare coil for an 83 they wanna part with?

Never had that happen, sold my 70 about a year ago to upsize, but melting things was never a problem. I'd give a once over to your wiring. It was probably just the coil being so bad it heated and melted from resistance, but you never know. Unfortunately I just tossed my spare coil for my 70 about a month ago since I dont have the trike anymore, or you coulda had it cheap. They're all over ebay for pretty cheap.

It had been running kinda funny, seemed like it was "loading up" in the middle range, (I assumed it was needle on the carb needing a bit of adjusting) but it had "fouled" a few plugs, that came out dry and black... Guessing it was an electrical issue now!

Whoops. Must have cooked itself from being rode so hard

OTOH might be because it was old. Time for a new one?
