    rear master cylinder

    I cant get the inner workings out of my rear master cylinder I got the snap ring and the rod out but the piston is stuck TITE ive got it soaking in brake fluid. Any tricks.
    Its a 86 200X

    Have you tried compressed air to see if that would pop it out?

    If you have another master cylinder (front master cylinders are a little easier to use for this, but either one will work) you can hook the two of them together and use hydraulic pressure to push the piston out. I've gotten more than a few stuck pistons out like that. If you can't get it out with compressed air this might do the trick for you.
