    What is faster a Kawi Tecate, a Yami Tri-Z, or a Honda 250R?

    Don't forget it also depends on what terrian your riding.

    In my honest opinion most people never run a 3 wheeler as fast as it will go ( speed wise ). Unless you ride on a drag strip you may never get the machine to go as fast as it will go.

    In 86' it was the Tecate at 73mph, coming in at second 250R at 71mph, then Tri-Z at 69mph.

    In 85' It was the 250R at 76mph, then Tecate at 70mph, Tri-Z at 66mph.

    Ive got a question for all those guys who rate how fast a bike is by its top speed.

    If bike A goes 0-65 in 8 seconds, with a top speed of 70mph,
    And Bike B goes 0-65 in 12 seconds with a top speed of 80mph,
    Which bike "is fastest" in the 1/8 mile? 1/4 mile? 1/2 mile?

    Something to ponder when your declaring "X is the fastest".

    I think when most people say "fastest" they are really talking about quickest.

    like i thought ,the 85 250r is the fastest..............top speed

    Tri Z Pilot, while the ATC250SX was not the FASTEST 250, it's probably the BEST ALL AROUND ATC that was ever made. I am somewhat biased though.

    Here is my unbiased opinion...

    Flat out on a dragstrip, the Tecate is the fastest...Once it hits about 4th gear. The 250r has a better midrange pull then the others, while the Z is the lowend torquer. I would give the nod to the 250r as the overall fastest bike...It has the best suspension and the best engine. The Tecate is best flat out, has more topend then the others by far. The Z is best at holeshots and stuff where your using lowend. In most cases the bikes are very close to one another, as long as they are ridden properly for how they run and such.
