Ive been hearing that there is an upgrade to the first gen kicker assembly (apparently they are notorious for slipping or going out all together) What eexactly does this upgrade do? Parts? Difficulty level?
Mostly wondering cause I eventually plan on camming and possible going with a high compression piston. I wanna make a really nice peppy woods runner, and am wondering if the 10.25 piston really makes that much of a difference and does it mess with the reliability? I figure 12 to 1 is outta the question cause I wanna keep it on pump gas. (What are the first gens stock compression ratio? 8 to 1?
One last question, if you could choose an aftermarket exhaust for the 83-85 200x what would it be? Cobra is outta the question, the only thing I know they do is make noise. I figure Suppertrapp would be good, but finding a decent unit is probably extremely hard or very pricey. I thought about using or fabbing an aftermarket headpipe than modding a DG Xcellerator silencer (They use discs like a Suppertrapp)
