    Need Tri-z help

Well, Got my second z running today and took it 'round the yard. When I stopped to check things out, I saw coolant comming out around the front head nut. dosen't seem to leak anywhere else, just around that stud/nut. Wells up pretty quickly, wipe it off and it drips again in about 2 seconds. Fresh piston & bore, fresh gaskets. What could cause this? What do I need to do to fix it? Thanks,

If its anything like my YZ it should have copper washers under the head bolt which actually keep the wqter from leaking. If you just rebuilt the engine you probably will need to replace the copper washers.
Not sure about this hopefully someone can back me up.

or...........................did you put some gasket sealant on it...even with the copper washers the sealant will fill the gaps and stop the leaks

    It doesnt have copper washers.

Every time Ive put a new gasket on the top of a Z, after it got hot once, I had to retorque it. Im not sure about the scientific explanation, but Ill just say, when you do a TriZ, after installation, start it up, run it until it reaches normal operating temp, shut it down, let it cool back down, and retorque the head, and youll not have as many of these problems. I also highly recommend Copper Coat spray on sealer which is designed for head gaskets.

good rule of thumb always re-torque after a few heatcycles.saves time and money.
it aint fun unless someone gets hurt.

Was planning to re-tighten after a little run time. But this was on initial startup. Never had this happen before so was concerned. Hopefully I don't have a warped cylinder head.
