    250sx engine question

I have an extra 250sx motor sitting around and I would like to use it for another project I am starting. I need to know if the shaft drive can be removed and a regular sprocket installed in its place. Thanks Guys

I know the right angle drive gearbox does come off the side
but not a good idea if one wants it to go back on easily.
Some washer or spacer falls down inside or something.
Common in removing too many parts when changing swing arm bearings.

Free manuals in the world class help section may give you an idea
of what it looks like and bikebandit has exploded parts diagrams.

As far as actual shaft size and shaft splines or whatever is in there, I wish I knew.
    Someone's gotta know for sure.

I just pictured a belt drive as belts can be twisted to change drive direction.

I've got a 90 engine sitting on a pallet to run a water pump for irrigation
    from the river.
Hope your project is fun and successful.
