I just drained my oil to do some clutch maint. and it was really thin and smelled of gas. Any insight as to where this may be coming from?

Maby your bike has been sitting for a while with the gas on and the gas has leaked into the oil. Or did you haul your bike somewheres without draining the bowl?

It's an '83 Yamaha 225DX. I'm pretty sure the floats were set too high and it was overflowing the bowl.

Anyone ever had problems with difficulty getting it into and out of gear? Now the gearshift is stuck in first...locked up. That's why I'm digging into the crankcase...hoping to find a simple fix.
