first off what bike, guessing a 250r, water cooled or air cooled, or is it a four stroke, asking questions like what you did need more info, but on a side note if you do go to a bigger jet yes you will need to re-tune, and a larger jet means more fuel and a richer mixture, how does it run now?

what do you suppose a larger jet will do for you? as far as tuning, jetting is a huge part of tuning. unless it is running lean a larger jet will more than likely hurt more than help.

there are alot of other things you can do to improve performance, before changing the jet, however you need to know if it is running rich or lean first, also do you have an aftermarket exhaust, air filter setup. I'm not a 2 stroke guy, and there are many threads on here dealing with upgrades, that you can search for to help.

hmm. not really what I meant about running lean. quick lesson: lean/rich refers to the fuel/air mixture. not oil/fuel. amsoil is a 50:1 oil and should be run at that.Too much oil is not better as some people seem to think. Too much oil reduces the amount of fuel to air (lean) and builds up inside the crankcase which can cause a number of troubles. two strokes need to be run on a fine line for best performance. as lean(fuel to air) as possible but still providing enough fuel/oilmix to lube everything

My chain saw is 50:1 I under stand the combo I was asking about netting I understand the mixture needs to kinda even out but I want to make sure the jet will help if it can

probably wont help any if it runs good now.going down a jet size would probably help more than going up but your taking a chance then of running too lean and burning a hole in your piston. I tried telling you: lose a wheel you would be amazed.

man you need to READ!! search and read ,,,, nothing you are saying is making any sense at all!!! you have no idea what changing a jet will do .. asking half witted questions does not help either,,,,, you can't get more out of it if you have no idea how to do anything related to tuning ,,,,,
