    Inverted fork tripple tree need your opinion

    Taking a stock tri-z tripple treee and a stock bike tripple tree(w/e bbike) with fork

    1: cut 4 hole of the tripple tree and cut stock tripple tree hole then weld( By a nice alu welder) Bike hole to the trike tripple tree.

    =Simple keep clamp for the handle bar and the hole for bolt to tight the fork


    need your opinion About the making of the project and the solidity (remember by a nice welder with Full penetration should be solid as stock.

    you will need a jig or fixture for alignment. When using aluminum i prefer overkill(like new billet clamps)for piece of mind, but others have done it this way. You may have issues with the rake if your forks are leading axle.

    I did my triple-clamps via this method. I haven't had any cracking issues, so that is not a problem in my opinion. I retained the same rake while going from trailing axle to leading axle, and now I have some undesirable handling/steering traits. Needless to say, I think I've done my homework the second time around, and designed some new triple-clamps with no rake in them that are being machined out of solid blocks of 1.5" 6061 aluminum.

    Even with a nice jig to support & align everything, it is a royal pain to keep the triple-clamps perfectly straight while having them welded. You'll have much better (read accurate) results getting completely new triple-clamps machined than if you welded them.
